Hello World....
I've been thinking about a new blog post but my mind was not still enough to put thoughts to screen. We are currently in a crisis across the world. There is a virus spreading being coined the "corona virus" or "Covid19". It's an off the charts upper respiratory virus. It was first being considered an extreme flu-type bug, who knows what it really is. The government decided to give us a lil change one-time. The entire bill is work $2Trillion i think. They could easily give us all about $100K maybe even $200K, there are about 325M people in the US, it would be a drop in the bucket. But hey, too much power to the little people, right?
I think it's man-made from several viruses and it was either released on purpose or stolen and spilled on accident.
I know of one person that I personally know who has passed away from Covid19 complications, very sad. Who knew that the last time I saw him during the holidays would have been the last time. This motivates me even more to continue with connecting with my friends and family when I can.
Im definitely contacting the parentals AND my sisters. Both of them are not in 100% health.
As I said in a previous post, I am enjoying the moment in my private life. This guy is the coolest, breath of fresh air that I've encountered in a long time. We laugh about silly stuff, discuss sci fi and fantasy like it's real world...lol...and the intimacy is O_O yes gawd!! HA!!
Definitely protected...my lady parts are still working somewhat so I don't need any late pregnancy scares NOR do I need any medical complications if my body attempted to go through the process and it didn't work well.
Anyway, the state of Georgia is still in a sort of quarantine lockdown. Only essential businesses are open. Those that have to move about only have from 7a to 9p. Our liquor stores in East Point are closed but our corner store does have beer and wine and some "rock gut" liquor. The stuff that we used to buy as naive youngsters because it was cheap...i'm talking madd dog 20/20, strawberry hill boonesfarm, thunderbird....ooo...i get a headache just typing the names.
So yeah well...everyone that can is working from home. I'm able to work from home...thank God. I go into the office when I need to if someone needs something notarized.
Welp...I need to get back to work...just one thing I need to say though.....to be perfectly honest, if i developed the virus and was no longer here...i really wouldn't mind. I have a DNR in place so if I flat line they can't bring me back. I'm tired anyway, I keep fucking up simple shit almost like self-sabotage on a regular basis. It's like I don't want to see myself happy as if I don't deserve it. I don't know where this self-loathing comes from but it's there and I can't hide from it. I think I'd be better off gone honestly. No longer a bother to anyone. Hell I couldn't even give my mom and dad offspring to carry their DNA....once i'm gone their DNA connection through me is gone for good.
ok well...lemme get back to work. I pray that everything goes ok.
p.s.
my birthday was a few weeks ago....i did my best to celebrate...baked a cake...celebrated at the house...my new like interest was here..we had a good time. I'll never forget "48". for sure.

Hello World... 2nd Guessing....
Hello World....
I have to laugh at myself. Sometimes when I'm presented with a task, I go into a panic mode versus stopping and checking my files....once i calm down and check my files, I see that I've already prepared myself and I stop and smile. I shake my head and I smile. Another real life example that the only one second guessing myself is ME!
As always.....
Peace and Blessings!!

Self-Sabotage - i rebuke you!
Hello World....
i'm feeling the spirit of self-sabotage coming on me again. This time in a different part of my life. It's not financial, praise God for that, but it's physical. My body is changing and I can no longer just do a couple of things to stay at a healthy size, I now have to do some EXTRA stuff and consistency is my weakness these days. I'm not sure WHY but it is!
I have several fashion shows coming up and I need to be at my best. Yes I'm a plus size model BUT I need to be a good plus size, that word is not synonymous with sloppy.
I've signed up with a trainer and did good for two weeks, even did my meal planning for a week. And then due to other schedule issues, I haven't been back. That's not an excuse though because I have a free fitness center in my work building. AND my zumba class are not far from me. Like I have NO excuse. And then I know that this all makes me depressed and I don't want to be depressed.
Lord help me, continue to whisper to my spirit man to encourage me to be the best Nissa that I can be.
In Jesus name...
Amen!

Is there a restart button?
Hello World....
Hadn't posted in a really long time but I have to say that if I'm EVER presented with a chance to just restart my life somewhere I'm going! New identity...maybe a brain wash and stronger personality..a different me. I seem to have become a proverbial punching bag. I notice that there are some that don't mind saying certain things to me and just moving on as if it's all good...oh but if I treated them the same way it would be a problem!
If the rapture came today...I'd be happy...I hope I'd get to join but oh well....even with the outside events that I'm a part of, I've become complacent professionally and comfortable and miserable.
"get up off my butt!" you say? easier said than done... "make a vision board" you say...ok and then what...I still have to take action. There is a reason I never remarried, the examples I've experienced seem to include men that have a mean edginess to them..like walking around on eggshells because you're scared that the next thing that you say will make 'em pop off...oh but THEY can say what the fuk EVER to me. (geesh!) Apparently there is something in me that keeps attracting these types...I mean I like the driven part that they have but it's the mean side that is not appealing of course.
Is there a restart button? If so, point me to it...I'm ready to beam out of here....depression is slowly taking over.
No uplifting words on the way out..I'm just tired. If you actually follow this blog, you'll see it..but I'm not sharing it.
I's tired boss.....I's tired.

Natural Hair...Braids....A new thing?
Hello World...
It's been a while since you've heard from this blogger. The reason for today's blog is an article from MTV UK posted by the Grio that gave credit for corn row braids to Kim Kardashian, oh wait I mean "boxer braids". As a kinky texture having individual that has worn braids all 43 (almost 44) years of my life, I am a little ticked off by this article because african americans have been getting flack about our kinky hair all of our existence. Our African ancestors/elders led the way in the creativity of our kinky crowns and gave us the playbook on how to handle our tresses.
I have an unforgettable memory, as a little girl I asked my cousin Vickie to braid my hair like Peaches of "Peaches and Herb" with the beads. I think my mom was taking me to get pictures done at Sears or Montgomery Wards or somewhere like that so I had to be cute. Well this was 1979(i was 7) and the movie "10" had come out and Bo Derek wears braids in the movie so the photographer says "oh you have your hair like Bo Derek?" I looked at him in shock and amazement and said "No! Like Peaches from Peaches and Herb!" he did a nervous laugh and continued on with his job. I'm sure he had no idea who I was speaking of.
If you look at ALL of our colored, negro, black, african american entertainers, our everyday family and friends pictures, we rock locs, braids, afros and receive nothing but flack about it especially in corporate america and the military. Our hair is called "nappy" which is as bad as the big "N-word" to me although some have embraced the word and made it an awesome description, I just cannot. OH but let "someone else" wear the same style and the world goes bananas as if it's the next best thing since sliced bread. And this didn't start just now, looking back at early movies created about the bible stories which happened in Africa (in real life) they use non-african actors/actresses, with kinky wigs and braid wigs, as the main characters with of course actors of african descent depicting the slave roles. Yep they paint their faces brown/bronze and hire the ones born with kinky hair and brown skin to be... the help (pun intended). I've never really dwelled on this because it's a part of a brown skinned person's life, to know that the world will forever try to knock our self-esteem down but this topic keeps coming back to me so I had to put my words to proverbial paper. It's almost a tad bit comical watching and listening to other criticize us. Why? Because the reality is that we are "the shit" and they take our ideas, our looks and use it for their own and get their plastic surgeons to re-create it. (as close as they can come to it anyway). Oh but Halloween is THE day that our natural hair, curves and everything else is put out front, this time as a joke. Yes some of our beloved non-black brothers and sisters find it hilarious to put on wigs, butt pads and other crazy looking accessories to pretend to be some sort of african american character. So sad.
Back to lecture at hand, I emailed MTV UK about the article expressing my disappointment and they responded. Their response was even more disappointing and dismissive, I almost feel like they listed my points as a formality but verbally patted me on the head as if to say "There, there little black American person, we understand your point but these are "boxer braids" and they are made popular recently by these two caucasian ladies. That's our opinion and deal with it. Cheers." My spirit man's facial expression...
Yes this email conversation really happened, check it out. Page 1 is my initial comment at the bottom and MTV UK's response at the top. Page 2 is my second statement, which apparently did not warrant a response. Yes this was last month and every time I try to just Let it gooo (you sang that.. lol), something else comes to my attention about this same topic. Go ahead and read it:
I've stopped believing that this mindset will ever change, I mean the mindset that sees those of African descent as second class citizens. Why? Because hatred is taught and learned and the country's behavior towards our current President Obama and First Lady Michelle AND the current Presidential election shows front and center that racism is still alive and kicking. Yes, the blog topic is about a hairstyle but the sentiment behind it goes much deeper....all the way back to our ancestors.
Let me make this perfectly clear....I don't care WHO wears the style everyone wears braids..but don't give credit where credit isn't due. That's just wrong on so many levels. It's like coming to an inhabited country and claiming it as your own....oh wait...that sounds familiar.
Keep living, keep moving forward and keep hope alive....
Peace and Love...

Yes this was last month and every time I try to just Let it gooo (you sang that.. lol), something else comes to my attention about this same topic. Go ahead and read it:
This topic probably does not bother any of the younger generations (and some of the older ones) but I've lived long enough to see and experience face-to-face discrimation. Made fun of for being too black, hair too nappy, etc and then to see the same group of thought start to inject and tan themselves to mimic the things they once ridiculed...AND situations like this where they take our styles that, again, were publicly ridiculed and have the audacity to make it their own is hilariously sad. Now, I'm sure there are some reading this that will say "Hey lady, this is a UK news outlet printing this, they aren't aware of your US history." My response to that is "WWW". Do you know what that stands for? World Wide Web. The internet allows us access to everything about everybody, the African history is a little different in how they were treated in the UK vs the US but no excuse because the information is there.
I've stopped believing that this mindset will ever change, I mean the mindset that sees those of African descent as second class citizens. Why? New Year....New Plan
Hello World.....
It's been a minute since my last entry. I think about 7 months. Long enough to be almost about to deliver a baby. LOL!
Well Happy New Year to you! :-D (click here for today's soundtrack)

Well Happy New Year to you! :-D (click here for today's soundtrack)
It's a new year and I have a new and improved plan. I asked the Lord to keep from being stagnant and allow me to be in a scenario to pull my gifts and talents out of me and let "44" be a very nice experience for me. And ALL types of things started happening. The only thing that can keep me from succeeding with everything is this chick right here...this chic typing this entry.
I implore you to get a team around you that constantly pushes you to be your very best! I truly believe in the statement "if you are the smartest in your group of friends, you need new friends."
This is going to be a short one....happy new year to you and yours! ((hugs)) and peace in the middle east!
Peace and Blessings....

Every moment counts...
Hello World...
You see this picture? This was me yesterday! YEP As I walked across in the crosswalk WITH the right of way, a driver not paying attention, turning left just gunned his way to the middle of the cross walk where I just happened to be at that moment. I saw the car in my peripheral so I turned to look the driver in the eye and see this guy just looking up (probably from texting) and his wife now berating him because he wasn't looking. **side eye**
I didn't even try to take a pic of the car I just kept walking and thanking God that I didn't get hit.
This is a short one....
My message today is Make Every Moment Count....because you NEVER know when that moment is your last. oh yes AND
STOP TEXTING WHILE DRIVING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Peace and Blessings.....

Is it really this easy??
Hello World....
Life in 2015 has been awesome and interesting!
"Mister Man" is no longer..... My hopeless romantic, nurturing personality sometimes allows me to dwell in situations longer than need be mostly because I always hope the situation goes back to the first feeling long after it's gone. After awhile, being on the bottom of the priority list gets old, very old. I think I had my fingers crossed that the whole "opposites attract" scenario would play out to be a groovy thing. I finally figured out that I'm active and I like my guy to be active with me, maybe not 100% (because he has his own life) but 80% at least. A concert here, a picnic there, couples stuff...oh well. Problem solved and life has gotten a lot better.
After growing used to not having someone in your corner for a long period of time, having someone not only show up but show up and step right in place with just the mention of their presence wanting to be there..... (whew..long sentence) is sooooooo exhilirating and I'm grinning from ear to ear. This really puts the definition of getting out of a wrong situation so the right one can begin. I'm loving this scenario and at the same time I'm wondering "is it really this easy?". And if so, whyyyyy the heck have I been dwelling on those with the ultimate "unavailable" status? Was I scared of what could happen? Scared of change? What? I do know that I have some professional changes to make so I'm not surprised if that's the case. Yep, I'm working on me.
This week is special...in a few days I will be celebrating another year on this earth. As the gospel song says "it's another day's journey and I'm glad...I'm so glad to be here..." and hmmmm (huge smile) I'll be celebrating with a new outlook. It'll be a little awkward because this weekend I have a crazy dental appointment which might impair my eating. :-( For this reason I celebrated with friends last weekend....I had a blast! But this weekend (Saturday 3/21 to specific) I know with confidence that if I pick up the phone and request a quick date it'll happen, I won't be irritated for my birthday.
:-) It's a beautiful thing.
This year WILL be awesome! And again I'm thinking "is it really this easy?" LOL.....
Well....I'm about to see!
Oh yes so the moral of this story is.....make a mistake, learn from that mistake while you're in it (because at that point you probably don't realize it's a mistake) and when you finally realize that you've made that mistake...GET OUT! Get out of it and move on. Lessons learned and try not to do it again.
Peace and Blessings....

Do you see what they see?
Hello World...
How many times have you been in a bad mood, depressed and couldn't look at yourself in the mirror? Have you ever looked in the mirror and not even recognized who was looking back?
You didn't really like what you saw....
And THEN you get around some positive people and someone looks at you and calls you a survivor, a strong person, a real friend and the whole time you're sitting there smiling but thinking "is she talking about ME?"
Yes! They are talking about YOU! It amazes me how we are so hard on ourselves. Somewhere, something bad happened in your life and you can't let it go. You continuously knock yourself down and don't allow yourself to just learn from the life lesson. Listen, it's ok to have a quick pity party when shit goes bad but don't let it turn into a convention. Cry and yell and then sit down with a pen and piece of paper and figure out a solution to whatever "it" is.
Get around some positive people so you can be reminded of who you are! Yes, we go through crazy stuff in life and Yes the outcome is not always good. BUT if you stay true to who you really are and keep moving forward, you will get back to your good self. So look back at the, now tear stained, list of solutions and smile. Wipe your eyes and clean your runny nose and look in the mirror again and check out that amazing person staring back!
Get around some of your friends and see if you see what they see. Get around some people that see you for who you really are and remember who you really are! And as you exit this post (thank you for reading by the way) I give you one of my celebratory songs to jam to! Jam Here! (yes there is a line dance to this....) LOL!
Peace and Blessings....

Let's Get It Started....
Hello World...
2014 was not as grand as I'd liked it. I had some things to happen but not as many objectives met as I'd liked. Totally my fault. But there were some awesome events that I can smile about. I became MORE active in modeling, I even have a new website which showcases some past photoshoots as well as modeling gigs I participated in you can view that here. My singing...aaaah not some much. I'm back in touch with my vocal coach but I need to reactivate everything. One of my sisters got married..it was a BE-autiful ceremony! Everything else has gone o-kay. Not fabulous but o-kay. I have learned how to walk in 3 inch heels (kinda) LOL. Thanks to the Tina Bridges monthly class, not only can I walk in them but I'm learning to walk like a model should. This year will be better than last year. LOL!
So for 2015...heeey in my MC Hammer voice "Let's Get It Started"....
The Christmas/New Year holidays were interesting. I spent Christmas Day in the hospital with my mom, she had a planned procedure that had complications which prolonged her stay. Thankfully I left her at home today (1/1/15) and feeling fine! Praise God!
I had some meaningful convesations with girlfriends and came out of it with a renewed mindset. What is a friend? You know, a real friend, I mean a real real friend doesn't need to be coddled and stroked everyday, that is the definition/description of someone that needs attention or an attention seeker. Apparently my personality doesn't support those types so they excuse themselves..which is good because even though i'm a GREAT listener and can give input if wanted, I don't have time for back to back negativity and whining. It's very very draining. So...yeah..as one of my younger cousins said in a FB post "Not every person you lose is a loss." So true, so true indeed!
For 2015...more social media marketing. EADWM is taking off, I have several new projects underway, I'm very very excited about my food review company. AND of course getting ready for the SHE Created iT annual February event, be on the lookout for flyers and information for this awesome event. One other organization that I'm part of as Women With Gifts, headed up by Lanette Kincaid. This entails uplifting women and their gifts (hence the name). I'm doing some social media marketing for an upcoming event in March called "I survived". This event is to support those that are survivors of sexual abuse, domestic violence and breast cancer; you can purchase your tickets here. I will be in Texas for that event. So not only do I plan on doing more online events but also more traveling, domestic and international. I plan on staying involved in whatever is going on.
There is a LOT on the plate but I have created my vision wall and will be checking off items on a regular basis. And OMG one of my friends brought back some memories of my entrepreneural days! NO details right now but let's just say that some business ideas that were tucked away in the drawer have been pulled out. I'm excited! More to come soon!!
The motivational part of this blog entry is this:
Continue forward, 2014 may have included some backwards AND forwards movement. That's okay, Don't beat yourself up about it because there's NOthing you can do about it. The only thing you can do is figure out the next step and that should be easy with Universal guidance. If you meditate and pay attention, you'll hear the answer. That's one thing I plan on adding into my daily routine is meditation. I've never done it before but I know it would help calm my mind and keep me grounded.
In the words of a witty flight attendant: For those that paid attention to the safety instructions, "thank you"; to those that chose not to pay attention "Good luck".
Peace and Blessings....

Walking into the storm...
Hello World....
Walking home a few days ago, I looked up and noticed very dark clouds ahead of me. This moment I literally walking into a storm. Luckily for me it was NOT raining yet but I knew it was coming. It reminded me that sometimes in life we see situations coming but we don't stop moving forward...we don't stop moving forward because we know the situation will pass and life will go on.
This will be a short one today...so I say to you...no matter what you are dealing with - encourage yourself to keep moving forward and continue forth walking thru the storm.
Peace and Blessings....

My Kings What Happened to You?
Hello World....
It's been 3 months since my last installment. Whew! I need to really get my time better organized. I'm doing stuff I love to do but I have to figure out how to do it ALL properly. :-)
As you know, I speak my mind on different topics and today's entry is in reference to my view of our Kings, our men, our providers. I meant to start this a few weeks earlier after I had an inbox Facebox altercation but have been delayed due to other things in life. I'm sure you're curious about the above-mentioned altercation and I will tell you in just a moment.
What I have noticed is that our men have moved from the position of provider to being provided for. It seems like they are more comfortable with laying up while the woman takes care of them. I'm not saying this scenario is brand new but it seems that our younger generation of men are okay with it. I'd really love to know why..my first answer is more and more single mom homes with NO male support.
The moms, in this scenario, dote on their sons to the point of smothering causing them to be a "mama's boy" with no provision training. Yes I said provision training. They are raised to look for a woman to continue to take care of them. It's rather sad to see this trend especially after being raised by the male generation that took pride in making sure the family was taken care of. Of course, this does not describe ALL men but enough of them to make it very, very noticeable.
The facebook interaction that lead me to this thought pattern is as follows:
I don't proclaim and profess my dating life all over social media and I try to keep an even keeled momentum when conversing with members of the opposite sex on social media. Dealing with marketing/PR events within the arts (music, dance, etc) I deal/connect with men a lot of the time. I'm sure a lot of women have experienced the inbox message from a new male friend request scenario where you have to let him know you're not interested and not single. One day I had an incredible experience with a guy that had already approached me with the "hey are you single?" vibe more than once, which I answered "no" each time, that really took it over the top. It was his attitude that made me start thinking about our younger generation of african american men and how they view their position in society. The scenario (abridged version) went as follows:
Strange FB Guy: Hi. You don't know me but I met a woman here in Atlanta who I'd known for a few months and I thought I wanted to marry her. She talked me into moving back with her to Texas where I would be living with her, her mother and her teenage son. We had plans to open up a food truck business. Her mother doesn't like me and they constantly fight about so I had to leave the house and now I'm homeless with no ID because I left my drivers license in GA. Again, I don't know you but I wanted to know if you could send me something to help out, I wouldn't think of asking but the whole ticket is $100+.
Me: No.
Strange FB Guy: See that's what's wrong with society now, people don't want to help each other. This is why we'll never come up as a people.
Me: *speechless*
And then as I was in the process of disconnecting from his page, I noticed he'd proceeded to adding cryptic status updates about people not helping out those that could be an important influence on society. Again, all I could do was look and laugh.
It seems that a lot of our men seem to be more inclined to being provided for versus being providers. I see a man as two things, 1. protector 2. provider. They are our kings, our heads of the households (in my eyes). But I'm noticing more of a trend of men who seem to be okay with asking a woman for a hand out. I was raised around and by the male generation that figured out how to provide for his family and wouldn't dare think about asking for a hand out. This inbox guy literally showed me with his story that he had no plan for provision, had no problem asking a strange woman for money and then had the gall to hit me with a "our people will never come up" line when I didn't agree.
And to that I ask, My Kings...What Happened to You? What happened to the men that know what it means to make something out of nothing? What happened to the providers? Why are they becoming a minority?
Another scenario that saddens me is that more and more of our Kings are subconsciously leading the Queens to be less than ladies. They don't seem to attempt to court or date, immediately plans for jumping in the sack are in the air. Molding a relationship is no longer a priority. I saw a quote floating around the internet that basically said "People meet, jump into bed and create situations." and it seems to be accurate. Again, this does not pertain to EVERYone, it's not a general statement but the men that prefer to get to know a lady definitely seem to be in the minority these days. Instead of making us proud to be a lady, we get called "bitches", "whores", "thots" and the big new craze seems to be becoming a single mother. At one time in society, an unwed mother was not looked upon as a good thing. Men looked down on men who left a pregnant woman alone to raise his child. These days, it seems our men eagerly look forward to planting a seed and leaving and the women have slowly morphed into the mindset of ONLY wanting to be a single mother instead of a wife. And then they seem to be content with themselves with being able to say how strong or independent they are and how much a man isn't needed. We are created by two parents for a reason, as individuals we are formed by the lessons of the father AND the mother. This is slowly turning into a very vicious cycle and we have got to do something to reverse it. My kings we are counting on you to lead the way.
As you know I ALWAYS end my blog on a positive note. So here goes..... for every man that walks over me to get to a seat on the bus or train there is a man that gives up his seat and/or allows the women step on the bus or train ahead of him. I see you my kings, I see young men showing that they are being trained by kings. For every mother that talks down about men in front of their children and/or keeps the father from seeing his kids for no other reason than just being evil, there is a mother that does her darndest to make sure the child is NEVER separated from his/her father. I see you my queens, yes ma'am, I see you and thank you.
It's not totally hopeless but it's looking kind of bleak. My kings, we need you. You are definitely our leaders...believe it or not women follow your lead. Quiet as it's kept, the entire world follows your lead. You have no idea how much power you truly have, if you were to use it for good the world would be so much better. Don't let the negative media rule the way our daughters and sons live, let them see what it means to be an upright man. Let our daughters see what good man looks like so they'll know when it's wrong.
Puttin my own spin on a long term cliche, it takes a village to raise a generation. It takes a village of people that are willing to put up with naysayers, to put up with the ones that don't want to do better and for some off reason, want the rest of us to sit back and let it all go to hell in a hand basket. It takes a village of Kings and Queens to keep pushing us to the top of our game! My Kings we are watching and take our cues from you, make us proud!
Peace and Blessings....

Happy New Year!!!
Hello World...
Happy New Year!!!
The sermon at our celebration service was "How can I get you to stretch?", Bishop preached out of Isaiah 55:15-20. Bottom line, instead of living life in the mediocre...stretch out your faith and live life in the supernatural overflow. Let that be your normal way of living. I had been praying about just this! Nothing like getting confirmation!!
I ran across a sign on FB that says something about having 365 pages to write a new story. I brought it in celebrating life and then my day one started with me cooking a meal and taking it to "Mr. Man" at work and sat down and chit chatted with him at his store. :-) Yep, my first time cooking for Mr. Man...going into 8 months...he ate it all...pages 3-365 will be off tha chain! Page 2: I launched my website last night, annissakaye.wix.com/eatandrinkwithme - honest food reviews only. I'll tell ya if I like it or not. Service AND food. Check out the blog too - eatandrinkwithme.blogspot.com.
I vow to stretch...starting with tithing with no thought....and trusting God to do the rest. that's it. Bishop mentioned how simple it was to receive blessings when we were either broke with no job or getting paid very little. Our faith was SOOOO BIG! Then when we get blessed, we forget and start doing stuff our way and then wonder why things go wrong.
I vow to physically stretch too. I've actually stopped and I can FEEL the difference! My poor muscles are all bunched up! I will definitely do better!
No longer living in the mediocre - Not anymore...not over here!
Moral of this story: Happy New Year - S-T-R-E-T-C-H out your faith....don't question the Universer/God/Allah...just do it!!
Peace and Blessings...

My man is home at the end of the day, time to switch hats from corporate life to husband/wife time and play..
I love this dude and he's all I need and I want...

the feel of the strength in your arms
If only for a moment...
the light headedness that hits me as i inhale your cologne
If only for a moment...
the feel of the light kisses on my neck and shoulders
If only for a moment...
the support felt by knowing you are in my corner
If only for a moment...
the warm fuzzies felt just by your presence
If only for a moment...
the school girl giddiness I feel by your voice on the other line
If only for a moment...
the way my whole body responds to you
As a woman...any woman out there can testify...i'd like to experience all of that even if only for a moment.

There comes a time in every [wo]man's life...
Hello World.....
There comes a time in everybody's life that he/she knows when to sit yo azz down! (click here for theme music) You've got to know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em, know when to walk away, know when to run...
And after tonight, I shall continue to run like Forrest Gump shaking off his shackles! I am going to stick with my current plan and concentrate on my new promotion at work and school and getting some connections in the sound engineering world so I can transition smoothly. So I'll be zooming alright and concentrating on the right thangs!
I encourage each and everyone of you to look at your current situation, measure it by peace of mind versus the "piece" you have in mind and ask yourself "am i happy?". If your instant reaction isn't a wicked smile and a resounding "YES!" then you may need to re-think your situation and work on fixing what isn't making you happy. Bottomline, communicate with those around you to make it right, don't make assumptions and make them read your mind. Nobody knows what you are thinking but YOU! And don't play "read between the lines" either, tell people what is really, truly on your mind.
There comes a time in every [wo]man's life that they demand to be happy!
Everyone stay true, stay positive and stay optimistic!! you can win as long as you keep your head to the sky..be optimistic
